Rebecca & Ben - Summer Wedding
Rebecca and Ben thought Gaynes Park was pretty and it suited their taste. They liked the beams and the high ceilings; it was like a blank canvas which they could decorate exactly how they wanted. They also liked the long aisle outside and the people at the venue were friendly. They booked about 18 months in advance.
Rebecca had 8 bridesmaids and they wore aqua/light green dresses from Debenhams with silver shoes.
There were two best men and three ushers. They all wore black suits, also from Debenhams with silver waistcoats and silver cravats.
Rebecca wore a strapless dress with pretty embroidery on the bust. To complement the dress, she wore a tiara, earrings and a veil which was made by her friend Aimee. Her bouquet consisted of white and purple flowers with some greenery.
Rebecca, her Dad and twin sister Rachael arrived at Gaynes Park in a Rolls Royce. The rest of the bridesmaids arrived in a Daimler.
The room was decorated with beautiful flowers and the table centrepieces were tall clear vases filled with purple and white flowers.
They gave tea lights as favours and Rebecca's Aunt made their round three-tiered wedding cake, decorated with white icing and a mini bride and groom.
Rebecca says the best part of the day was all of it! "The ceremony was amazing and the readings by Ben's Gran, my twin sister and sister-in-law were really special."
Ben says, "Seeing Rebecca walk down the aisle" was the best part of his day, "she looked so beautiful."
When asked if there was anything she'd learnt that she thought was an important tip for future wedding couples, Rebecca says, "Make the invitations yourself; they are more personal and can also be cheaper."
