Spring is an exciting time of year to hold your wedding, with new buds on the trees, the first flower shoots starting to appear and a sense of new beginnings in the air. Celebrate the season by using fresh, bright colours like fuchsia pink, lemon yellow, sky blue, teal, coral or lilac in your wedding theme.
Easter weddings can be especially fun for children and you could give Easter eggs or toy bunnies as favours. If you have young bridesmaids or flower girls they may like to wear a pretty Easter bonnet instead of a hair band or tiara. A May Day theme lets you embrace the natural look with artfully soft “undone” hair, flower garlands or maypole-style ribbons in your floral displays or decorations.
Spring weather can be changeable and while you will still be able to wear lighter fabrics it would be a good idea to have a bolero jacket or chiffon shrug to keep you warm on the day just in case. White wedding umbrellas will not only look stylish but will also keep you dry in the event of the odd April shower.
