Arriving at your wedding ceremony
In many ways, your wedding ceremony at Gaynes Park starts before you take your vows. Your guests will be welcomed with a walk through the stunning Walled Garden before they make their way into the Orangery to await your arrival.
If you’re getting ready in the Apple Loft, you’ll be able to hear your guests arriving and when it’s time for your ceremony, you can make your way through the Heart Gate and down the Long Walk with your bridesmaids and wedding party. This is the perfect time to relax and compose yourself and a great opportunity for your photographer to capture some memorable photos before you say ‘I do’. Now, you’ll be able to see the Orangery in front of you and the prettiest aisle ever as you walk through the Walled Gardens. Lined by borders that give year-round colour, the arrival of the bride at the Orangery always has a stunning backdrop. From the Heart Gate to your ceremony setting, this is surely one of the longest and most beautiful aisles outside of Westminster Cathedral!

Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and civil partnership ceremonies for up to 150 guests, the Orangery is spacious yet intimate with large windows that give the most glorious views over the Walled Garden. There’s no denying the fact that the Orangery is a beautiful place for your wedding ceremony. However, lots of our couples choose to decorate it for their ceremony and we love seeing couples put their own stamp on the space. There are so many ways that you can personalise your wedding ceremony venue and here are some of our favourite ideas: Create tags for the chairs in the Orangery to make sure that your VIPs get the best view of your vows.
Wrap a foliage and floral garland around the beams behind your ceremony table. Add vases of matching flowers to the table and ledges for an incredibly elegant look.
Large wooden or floral letters behind the ceremony table are a great touch. These can also be moved to the Gather Barn or Mill Barn for your reception.
If you want your guests to turn off their mobile phones or ‘choose a seat, not a side’, a fabulous chalkboard sign placed by the entrance to the Orangery is a great idea.
